DAY6 Wonpil gets emotional from the start of the last concert... “Gocheok Dome stage, so grateful”

DAY6‘s Wonpil barely managed to control his emotions.

DAY6 held their solo concert ‘2024 DAY6 Special Concert ‘The Present’’(2024 DAY6 Special Concert ‘The Present’) at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul at 6 PM on the 21st. This concert, which was held over two days following the previous day, met with a total of 38,000 My Day (official fandom) over two performances.

On that day, DAY6 performed their debut song ‘Congratulations’, the title song of their 2015 first mini album ‘The Day’, at the beginning of the concert. The stage that day was arranged into a large-scale orchestra, adding to its grandeur.

Young K said, “I think My Day must have felt similarly. Just now, as I was watching the scene unfold before my eyes, I realized that I was singing ’Congratulations‘ and I started to focus more on the situation than the song itself,” and confessed, “Many thoughts were floating through my head. I thought I would just accept this scene calmly, but I’m so touched. It‘s all thanks to you. Thank you.” Then, he said, “Wonpil disappeared without a word,” and looked for member Wonpil. It turned out that Wonpil had left the stage for a while to collect his emotions after finishing his performance.

Wonpil, who returned to the stage, said, “I did it because I was grateful that I could be on a stage like this. ”I’m sorry,“ he said, confessing, ”I‘ve been busy this year working hard on songs and keeping up with my schedule, but I’m grateful that I can share a stage with the people I love here.“ Young K agreed, saying, ”I‘m so touched that I’m singing this song with all these people in a space like this.“

Meanwhile, DAY6, who finished the year 2024 with My Day, will continue their third world tour, ‘DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR’ (Forever Young). All tickets to the concerts around the world, including Incheon in September, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Surabaya, and Jakarta in October, Singapore in November, Bangkok from November to December, Hong Kong in January 2025, and Los Angeles and New York in April, have been sold out. With the series of additional performances and expansion of scale, the show will continue in Kaohsiung on January 18-19, Hong Kong on the 25th-26th, Osaka on February 12-13, Tokyo on the 15th-16th, Manila on the 22nd, Sydney on April 6, Melbourne on the 9th, Auckland, New Zealand on the 12th, Los Angeles on the 16th-17th, and New York on the 19th.
