If we were to compare K-pop to the stock market and pick the ‘stocks that are rising this year, these are the ones to beat. Now, they are the pride of the ‘K band’ Day6.
Starting with the chart reverse run that ‘could be a page’ that announced the start of the Day6 era, here are roughly 4 songs that the 4 members have ‘stood on fire’ this year. In the first half of the year, there was ‘Welcome to the Show’, followed by ‘Melting’ and ‘HAPPY, which were consecutive hits.
These guys, who went beyond expanding the base of K-pop and led ‘K-band’ as a genre, held their solo concert ‘The Present’ at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 20th and 21st. As if to remind us that they are the trendiest of trends, the audience size gathered for just two performances was a whopping 38,000.
The reason they were able to demonstrate ‘blockbuster-level audience mobilization’ was thanks to Gocheok Sky Dome, ‘Korea‘s only dome’. For Day6, who debuted in 2015 and are looking forward to their 10th anniversary next year, it was especially meaningful as the ‘first entry’ among all ‘K-bands’.
As of the performance on the 21st that was released to the domestic media, the setlist that filled up the 150 minutes was 30 songs. Starting off with ‘Colors’ from their debut album ‘The Day’, they showed off their splendid history of the past 9 years of ‘continuous sing-alongs’ until they finished with ‘Let it be a page’, which has become a true hit song.

DAY6, who have already turned another page after their 10th anniversary, are preparing to rise beyond being a representative K-band to become a ‘global band top tier’.
The world tour ‘Forever Young’, which started in South Korea, the home country of Day6, is one of them, and concerts are confirmed for Hong Kong, Osaka and Tokyo in Japan, and Manila in the Philippines in January and February next year.
