‘Escape fromis_9, release of ‘From’… All members participated in writing the lyrics [DA:Today]

Group fromis_9 is sending a special single ‘from’ as a final gift as they are all leaving HYBE.

‘from’ is a fan song in which the members express their gratitude to Flover (fandom name) who have supported and loved fromis_9 (Lee Sae-rom, Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Noh Ji-sun, Lee Seo-yeon, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-kyung, Baek Ji-heon). Song Ha-young participated in the composition, and all members completed the lyrics together.

Ahead of the release, fromis_9 said through their agency Pledis Entertainment on the 23rd, “We wrote a letter filled with our hearts towards Flover. I hope that this sincerity is conveyed as it is and that it warms a corner of your heart during the cold winter,” she said. “I hope that it seeps into the days to come so that we can laugh and make memories together anytime, anywhere.”

Since their debut in January 2018, fromis_9 has presented a variety of music including ‘Talk & Talk’, ‘DM’, ‘Stay This Way’, ‘#menow’, and ‘Supersonic’. In particular, ‘Supersonic’, which was released in August of this year, has been greatly loved on domestic and international charts, and was selected as one of the ‘Best K-Pop of 2024’ by Billboard and Pop Matters in the U.S., NME and Dazed in the U.K. They will appear on MBC‘s ‘Gayo Daejejeon’ on the 31st to mark the end of the year.

Meanwhile, fromis_9 transferred to Pledis from Hybe Labels in August 2021. After discussion, it was decided that all members would end their exclusive contracts with Pledis as of December 31, 2024. Attention is being paid to whether they will choose to disband the group or continue group activities by joining hands with other agencies.
