Group SHINee member Onew has released a preview of the new album, in which he participated in producing all the songs.

Today (27th) at midnight, Onew released a preview of some of the highlight tracks from his fourth mini album, ‘CONNECTION’, through his official YouTube channel.

The preview was filmed entirely on location in Prague, Czech Republic, and Onew reminisces about forgotten memories while watching himself spending time with his mother and a young child riding a bicycle. Onew‘s deeper atmosphere stands out against the exotic scenery.

‘CONNECTION’ contains ‘Promise You’, an easy-listening pop genre with dreamy chords, ‘Boy’ with an attractive vintage-textured sound reminiscent of 70s disco music, ‘Gradation’ that focuses solely on Onew’s vocals with a minimal sound, ‘Conversation’ with an impressive lively rhythm of drums and bass, and ‘Manse’ with an addictive melody line that presents a cheerful and fresh charm.

The title track ‘Winner’ is a song where the guitar and keyboard lead the flow of the song, and it is characterized by the strong band sound in the chorus. Lyricist Seo Ji-eum, who has written lyrics for many hit songs, helped with the lyrics, foreshadowing great synergy with Onew.

‘CONNECTION’ is Onew‘s new mini-album, released approximately 4 months after his 3rd mini-album ‘FLOW’ last September. The album emphasizes the organic connection between Onew’s inner and outer self, and contains Onew‘s diverse charms that we’ve never seen before. Following ‘FLOW’, Onew participated in producing and writing the lyrics for all the songs in ‘CONNECTION’, and is expected to showcase his musical abilities that have evolved to the next level as a solo artist.

Onew‘s 4th mini-album ‘CONNECTION’ will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 6th of next month.
