IV, postponement of comeback promotion schedule… Aftermath of Jeju Air passenger plane accident [Official]
Group IV has postponed their comeback promotion schedule.
On the 29th, their agency Starship Entertainment announced the postponement of the promotion schedule for their third mini-album, ‘IV EMPATHY’, through IV‘s official SNS. IV was originally planning to release the ‘EMPATHY!’ trailer video on the 29th and the trailer photos on the 30th.
The agency said, “We would like to inform you that the promotion schedule for IVE THE 3rd EP ‘IVE EMPATHY’, which was scheduled to be released today (29th) and tomorrow (30th), has been postponed. We will announce the upload schedule at a later date. We ask for the understanding of fans,” and “We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families who were affected by the accident.”
At around 9:03 AM on that day, a Jeju Air passenger plane attempted a body landing at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do after failing to lower its landing gear, deviated from the runway, crashed into an exterior wall, and exploded. Of the 181 people on board the plane, including 179 South Korean nationals and 2 Thai nationals, 2 were rescued, 2 went missing, and 177 people (as of 6:30 PM) were confirmed dead.
Meanwhile, Ive will release the pre-released title song ‘Rebel Heart’ on January 13, 2025, and then release a new album on February 3.
