Singer Cho Yong-pil postpones his Daejeon concert to commemorate the plane crash.
On the 30th, his agency YPC announced, “The ‘20th Album Release Celebration Cho Yong-pil & Great Birth Concert - Daejeon’ scheduled for January 4th has been postponed to commemorate the national mourning period due to the Jeju Air plane crash.”
He added, “We will discuss the concert with the venue and make an announcement later. For ticket refund inquiries, please contact the Ticket Link customer center.”
Finally, he expressed his condolences, saying, “I express my deepest condolences to the victims of Jeju Air Flight 2216 and their bereaved families.”
On the 29th at approximately 9:03 am, a Jeju Air plane departing from Bangkok, Thailand crashed and exploded at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province. The plane was carrying 181 people, including 179 South Korean nationals and two Thai nationals. 179 people died, excluding the two who were rescued. The government designated a seven-day period of national mourning from today until January 4th of next year in relation to the Jeju Air accident.
