Jo Min (Park Jun-gyu), a member of the mixed group ‘Bijou’, shared his recent situation, saying that he was scammed out of 1 billion won and has been paying off the debt for 20 years.

Jo Min said, “He was someone I was really close with, but he used my name a lot and left me with a lot of debt. In fact, the light was so big that I‘m still paying it off,“ he said, recalling the situation at the time.

He said, ”If that hadn’t happened, it wouldn‘t have been difficult, but after taking on a huge debt of over 1 billion won, I couldn’t even imagine and was scammed. I went to the bank to withdraw about 300,000 won, but the money wouldn‘t go through. When I asked the bank, they said, ’It‘s been seized.’“

The resident said, ”Later, I found out that the acquaintance had taken 100 copies of my seal certificate without my knowledge and borrowed money from about 60 places with them,“ adding, ”Since then, my credit has been ruined, I haven‘t been able to buy a single cell phone in my name, and I’ve been paying off my debt for 20 years.“

After that, Ju-min worked at a new drug development company and an IT company as a salesperson, but both companies failed after about a year. At the time, he was married and had a child, so he thought he had to do anything for his family. “Back then, there was nothing that I could really see. I drove for someone in the early morning, handed out flyers, and even did a supporting role in a historical drama,” he recalled. He added, “I had to support my child and my wife, so saving face wasn’t important.”

He said that he was able to start music again thanks to his wife’s support. “One day, my wife said, ‘I wish you could do something that would make you happy. If you don’t have enough money, I’ll go out and work too. I wish you could do music again.’” The resident said, ”I‘m still very sorry,“ and cried.

The resident said, ”I’ve been paying off the 1 billion won in debt from fraud for 20 years, and I currently have about 30 million won left. It‘ll all be over next year.“
