Despite the unexpected twists and turns, Boo Seok-soon‘s ‘youth starts right now.’ As Boo Seok-soon, a unit of the global group Seventeen, emerges as the first big star to open the door to 2025, their messages of comfort and support have started to create buzz early on, intertwined with the chaotic times.
Boo Seok-soon will release their second single ‘Teleparty’ (TELEPARTY) on the 8th at 6 PM. Boo Seok-soon, a three-member unit consisting of Hoshi (Kwon Soon-young), Dokyeom (Lee Seok-min), and Seungkwan (Boo Seung-kwan), will make a comeback after two years since their first single ‘Second Wind’ in February 2023.

Their new album is expected to be filled with bright and cheerful energy, just like their previous mega hits ‘Without Hesitation’ ‘Fighting Must Haves’. Even the title song of this single is ‘Jeans’, an abbreviation for the phrase ‘Youth starts from now’. It is a title that contains the meaning of cheering on youth who know how to enjoy their present life regardless of age or gender.
They have also been consistently revealing the theme of “How is your youth?” through the promotional content that they began revealing on the 27th of last month. The teaser video contains the three members transforming into representatives of ‘Teleparty’ representing the youth and cheering on the freedom of office workers and students and love in old age. Their pledge(?) to “Create a world where we are all youth” garnered sympathy, and the video surpassed 1.1 million views on YouTube.

Among K-pop fandoms, the fact that their new album, which featured an election concept, was released right before the 12/3 martial law incident drew a lot of attention. It has been reported that their agency Pledis Entertainment also revised some of the content after much deliberation and belatedly began promotions.
In the teaser video, a notice was displayed to prevent any misunderstandings in advance, saying, “This content was planned in the first half of 2024, and the characters, incidents, organizations, and backgrounds appearing therein have no relation to reality whatsoever,”, resulting in a ‘sad and funny’ incident.
Meanwhile, Hoshi, who was born in 1996 and will be serving in the military this year, is expected to showcase various activities as much as possible until his enlistment, starting with the new album by Bu Seok-soon. In addition, SEVENTEEN, which entered a period of ’military hiatus‘ (a complete hiatus due to military service) in September of last year when member Jeonghan fulfilled his military service, plans to begin individual and unit activities in earnest after Boo Seok-soon.
