JYP‘s new boy group KickFlip to make their official debut on the 20th... Members Kye Hoon → K-Ju revealed

JYP Entertainment’s (hereafter JYP) new boy group KickFlip will make their official debut on January 20th with the release of their first mini album, ‘Flip it, Kick it!’. Prior to this, the members‘ profile images and the album scheduler were introduced through KickFlip’s official SNS channel at midnight on the 6th. According to this, Kickflip consists of a total of seven members: Gye-Hoon, Amaru, Dong-Hwa, Joo-Wang, Min-Je, K-Ju, and Dong-Hyun.

Kickflip pre-released the full version of the music video for the track ‘Yeah Yeah’ from ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ on the 6th at midnight, followed by the pre-released song music video photos and choreography practice video on the 7th, an introduction film on the 8th~9th, concept photos on the 10th~14th, a tracklist poster and track video on the 15th, and a music video teaser on the 16th~17th, among other rich teasing contents. On the 20th, the debut day, there is a debut show on Mnet M2 at 7 PM and a debut showcase at 9 PM.

After the splendid debut declaration, they will hold a debut pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul for a total of 9 days from January 25th to February 2nd.

The pre-released song ‘Yeah Yeah’ music video began with a humorous scene of Kye Hoon falling over while skateboarding. Kye Hoon, Amaru, Dong Hwa, Joo Wang, Min Je, K Joo, and Dong Hyun dancing and jumping around freely gave off a pleasant energy just by looking at them. The typography made up of the lyrics and the lively visual beauty added to the fun to watch. ‘Yeah, That‘s Right’ is characterized by lyrics that cheerfully, refreshingly, and delightfully take on nagging you don’t want to hear, and humorously expresses the message ‘I won‘t mind the obvious nagging and will go my own way’.

The team name ‘Kickflip’ refers to the difficult skill of spinning the board 360 degrees with the tip of the toes, and JYP’s new faces, Kye Hoon-Amaru-Dong Hwa-Ju Wang-Min Je-K Joo-Dong Hyun, are taking their first steps into the music industry with the ambition to be unconstrained by existing norms and to be active in new ways, like moving forward by spinning the board once.
