Ive, first broadcast ‘All Night’ stage revealed… Expectations for February comeback rising
Group Ive (Ahn Yu-jin, Ga-eul, Lay, Jang Won-young, Liz, Lee Seo) won the first triple crown of 2025.
At the JTBC ‘39th Golden Disc Awards’ (hereafter ‘Golden Disc’) held at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome in Japan on the 4th and 5th, Ive won the Album Main Award for their second EP album ‘Ive Switch’, the Digital Song Main Award for the title song ‘HEYA’, and the Global K-pop Artist Award, taking home three crowns.
In addition to winning the awards, Ive performed a dance break that showcased the individuality of the Ive members that had never been seen before, rearranging the main award-winning song ‘HEYA’ into a rock version. He added grandeur to the stage with his refined and powerful dance lines. In particular, he performed the US single ‘All Night’, which created a challenge craze with the participating artists at last year‘s ‘Golden Disc’, for the first time on TV, drawing a hot response at the scene.
Ive, who realized his elevated status by lifting the trophy at the ‘Golden Disc’ for three consecutive years since his debut, continued his unstoppable pace by achieving his fourth million-seller with ‘Ive Switch’, which was released in April of last year.
According to the influential American economic magazine Forbes, Ive had the honor of being named one of the ‘30 Under 30 in Asia’. In addition, Ive, who held their first world tour ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE’ since their debut, met with an audience of 420,000 through a total of 37 performances in 28 cities in 19 countries including Asia, the Americas, and Europe. They proved their unrivaled presence by selling out all tickets from the start of their tour in the Americas to the ‘KSPO DOME’ (formerly: KSPO Gymnastics Arena) and Japan’s ‘Tokyo Dome.
Leader Ahn Yu-jin said through her agency Starship Entertainment, “I think it was possible to start the new year by receiving the digital music and album awards because of DIVE (official fan club name). Also, I never expected it, but through my first world tour, I felt the cheers and enthusiasm from fans in various countries more closely and gained strong driving force, so it is even more meaningful to receive the Global K-pop Artist Award, and I want to thank everyone, including DIVE, who loves and enjoys Ive‘s songs,“ he said. He also asked, ”Please look forward to the upcoming ‘IVE EMPATHY’. Happy New Year 2025 and always stay together!“
Ive will release his third EP album ‘IVE EMPATHY’ on February 3, following the release of his pre-released title song ‘REBEL HEART’ on the 13th.
