The 1st The Awards Popularity Award Voting Starts on the 13th ‘The First Popularity Award My Favorite Idol Should Receive’

‘My Favorite K-Pop Star Popularity Award, Chosen by Myself’
The voting for the ‘1st D Awards with upick’ Popularity Award, hosted by Sports Donga, begins on the 13th.
‘The ‘D Awards’ announced the schedule for voting for the Popularity Award on the 8th with ‘upick’, the global fandom platform selected as the awards ceremony‘s official voting app.
The six categories you can vote for on ‘upick’ are ▲Best Solo Popularity Award (Male and Female) ▲Best Group Popularity Award (Male and Female) ▲Upick Global Choice (Male and Female). After going through the preliminary and final rounds, the winner will be decided with 100% voting from K-pop fans around the world, and the trophy will be presented at the awards ceremony.
The male and female categories for the ‘Best Solo Popularity Award will begin first.
Artists who released a solo album last year across all genres will be selected for voting, and the tournament will be held to determine who will advance to the final round after the preliminary round. The preliminary round will begin at noon on January 13th and will run until January 20th, and the final voting will run from 6 PM on January 20th to 3 PM on February 7th.
The male and female categories for the ‘Best Group Popularity Award, where idol groups that have shone in K-pop are eligible for voting, will follow. The preliminary voting will take place from noon on January 16 to January 24, and the final voting will take place from 6 PM on January 24 to 3 PM on February 13.

The preliminary voting for the male and female categories of the ‘Yupik Global Choice’, where all idol members of a group are nominated and a fierce competition is expected, will take place from January 17 to January 23, and the final voting will take place from 6 PM on January 23 to 3 PM on February 11.
‘Yupik’ is also preparing an event during the voting period where K-pop fans can visit the awards ceremony in person to watch the ‘The Awards’. You can participate in the event by following the ‘Yupik’ official SNS and doing the RT (retweet) challenge. The 1st D Awards with upick, hosted by Sports Donga and organized by ‘UPICK’ and WSM, has ENHYPEN, FIFTYFIFTY, QWER, TWS, and UNIS listed in its first lineup.
The awards ceremony will be held at 6 PM on February 22nd at the Hwajeong Gymnasium at Korea University in Anam-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
