Singer-songwriter and member of the band The Rose, Kim Woo-sung, will release a remix album, ‘4444: Reborn (4444: 리본)’, of his second full-length album released in October of last year at 2 PM on the 10th.
‘4444’ is an album that explores Kim Woo-sung‘s self-discovery, inner reflection, and clarity. Through the remix album, Kim Woo-sung will reinterpret the album’s main tracks and present eight tracks that transcend genres with artists beloved around the world.
This remix album features Italian duo Mathame, who recently gained attention for their official remix of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding‘s hit song ‘Free (프리)’. Mathame recreates Kim Woo-sung’s unique sound in a cinematic and immersive style.
Here, Raiden, a legend in the Korean EDM scene, adds a dynamic sensibility, and IÖN, a new DJ persona introduced by Park Gyu-jeong of the famous domestic producer duo Groovy Room, participates to add freshness. Also, Kim Woo-sung‘s younger brother AJ lent his strength to present an original track, and Kim Kang-yeol’s new DJ project Radio garçon added dreamy electronic sounds to create a unique musical synergy.
In particular, Brian Lee‘s electronic music project Lame Impala, which co-produced and composed four tracks of ‘4444’, will present two remixes, raising expectations that it will once again stimulate the five senses of fans around the world.
Kim Woo-sung said, “Electronic music is a genre that has always inspired me a lot. ‘4444: Reborn’ is not a simple reinterpretation of an album, but an album that reflects a new style with great artists who work with subgenres of electronic music. “It was a really special experience to see each artist add their own vision to my music,” he said.
‘4444’ previously ranked 6th on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart, 8th on the Heatseekers Albums chart, 15th on the Current Album Sales chart, 16th on the Album Sales chart, and 44th on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, garnering attention from global fans.
Kim Woo-sung’s remix album ‘4444: Reborn’ will be available on various music streaming sites starting at 2 p.m. on the 10th.
