Ive shined in 2024… 6 songs entered Melon‘s annual chart

Group IVE showed off their strong music power on the 2024 Melon annual chart.

According to the ‘2024 Melon Annual Chart’ TOP100 announced by Melon, Korea’s largest music platform, on the 9th, IVE entered a total of 6 songs on the chart, including ‘I AM’ at 21st, ‘HEYA’ at 26th, ‘LOVE DIVE’ at 60th, ‘Baddie’, ‘Kitsch’, and ‘After Like’.

Among the various songs that adorned the chart, ‘Love Dive’, the title song of their second single released in 2022, and ‘After Like’, the title song of their third single, Like’ drew attention by making it onto the list. The songs were first listed on the Melon annual chart in 2022, and have continued to chart for three consecutive years until 2024, proving Ive‘s strong ‘long-run’ popularity. In particular, ‘Love Dive’ was loved as a self-proclaimed mega hit song that topped the Melon annual chart in 2022 and won Ive the grand prize at the G-Geekzong year-end awards ceremony upon his debut.

This chart is significant in that it shows Ive’s continued musical challenges. While maintaining the group identity of ‘narcissism’ in each album, Ive has showcased diverse genre variations that break the mold of his previous works, from ‘Love Dive’, which emphasizes a confident attitude, to ‘I Am’, which sings about an independent life, and ‘Have to’, which shows ‘another me’ by utilizing transformations. Although these songs all have different musical textures, they showed off Ive‘s presence as a ‘group you can trust and listen to’ by making it onto Melon’s annual chart.

Meanwhile, Ive will take on a new challenge once again by releasing his third EP album ‘IVE EMPATHY’ on February 3. Before that, he will reveal the pre-released title song ‘REBEL HEART’ on the 13th at 6PM.
