‘20-day debut’ JYP rookie Kickflip, Kye Hoon → K-Zoo concept photos revealed

JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP)‘s new boy group Kickflip has revealed their debut album concept photos for the first time.

Kickflip will be releasing their first mini-album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ on the 20th and will be taking their first steps in the music industry. While various teasing contents are being sequentially revealed, concept photos that stand out with a cheerful mood were revealed at midnight on the 10th.

In the photos, Kye Hoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Joo Wang, Minje, K-Zoo, and Donghyun show off their free-spirited vibes by striking dynamic poses with boards decorated with various instruments and music equipment. Their energetic appearances, such as jumping high and pretending to run, maximized the energetic charm of the seven members, and their bright smiles maximized their fresh youthful beauty.

Even before their official debut, they have been attracting a lot of attention from major overseas media outlets as well as K-pop fans. They were recently selected as one of the ‘8 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Watch In 2025’ by Grammy.com in the United States, and the ‘Yeah Yeah’ music video, which was pre-released on the 6th, garnered enthusiastic responses, ranking 9th on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide and 3rd on YouTube’s Most Popular Videos in Korea as of the 7th.

The team name ‘Kickflip’ refers to a high-difficulty technical term that involves spinning the board 360 degrees with the tip of the toes. Like turning the board once and moving forward, Kickflip‘s bold ambition to not be bound by the past and to be active in new ways is drawing attention as they will show off their unique music and stage.

Kickflip’s first mini album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ will be officially released on January 20th at 6PM. They will hold their debut show on Mnet M2 at 7PM and their debut showcase at 9PM on the same day, and will also have a pop-up event at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul from January 25th to February 2nd.
