On the 12th (Sunday), Jeon Yu-jin, who won ‘Current King of Singers’ and gained huge popularity, appeared on SBS Power FM (107.7MHz) ‘Two O‘Clock Escape Cultwo Show‘ (hereafter ‘Cultwo Show’) to promote her first mini-album ‘Only You’. She caught everyone’s attention by showing off her refreshing singing ability with the title song ‘Butterfly’.

Born in 2006, Jeon Yu-jin is a trot singer in her 6th year since her debut at the age of 14. She, who is 20 years old this year, revealed that she took the CSAT last year. To Kim Tae-gyun, who was surprised by her early debut, Jeon Yu-jin explained, “I‘ve always enjoyed going on stage and singing. I won the grand prize at a music festival that I participated in for fun, and after that, I started getting offers to appear on broadcast shows.”

Asked about her thoughts on becoming the winner of ’Current King of Singers,‘ she said, “I never thought about it,” and added, “I’ve been on a lot of audition programs before that. I worried a lot before going on ‘Current King of Singers.’” When asked how high she thought she would go, she honestly answered, “At first, I really had no greed. When I did the Ace match, I thought I would go up a lot. I got greedy because the results were good.” She mentioned that she plans to use the prize money for her college tuition and to settle down in Seoul.

Jeon Yu-jin chose Sung Si-kyung‘s ’Two People‘ as the song she often sang when she was young. Jeon Yu-jin said, “I was greatly influenced by my parents. My mom liked ballads and my dad liked trot. My mom especially liked Sung Si-kyung’s ‘Two People’,” he explained. Jeon Yu-jin‘s mother was born in 1979, the same age as Sung Si-kyung, drawing attention.

Meanwhile, Jeon Yu-jin is actively participating in MBN’s ‘Korea-Japan Top Ten Show’.
