As Taemin of group SHINee did not attend SM‘s 30th anniversary group concert, he expressed his will to promote as a full group.
On the 13th, Taemin said through a fan communication platform, “I’m cautiously saying this in case there are fans who are worried about SHINee,” and explained the situation by saying, “I‘m sorry I couldn’t show you SHINee during ‘SM Town.’ I wanted to finish talking to the company quickly and show you SHINee, but the back and forth took some time.”
He continued, “Still, we‘re talking and things will be sorted out soon,” and said, “I also have a lot of stories I want to tell the members about protecting SHINee and moving forward. My intention is that there might be fans who worry ’maybe they don‘t want to do SHINee?’ or ‘will we be able to see SHINee in the future?’, so I hope they don‘t have to worry about that.”
He added, “I hope my words don’t hurt anyone. Once again, all the members love SHINee and share the same feelings, so we are in the process of carefully organizing and preparing to start off well for SHINee, so let‘s meet again with smiles soon.”
Taemin transferred from SM Entertainment to Big Planet Made Entertainment. SM’s 30th anniversary concert was held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 11th and 12th, and only SHINee members Key and Minho went on stage. Onew, who transferred to Griffin Entertainment, participated in SM‘s 30th anniversary content.
In this situation, as suspicions surrounding Taemin’s absence were raised, such as an official from Onew‘s agency posting SNS posts that seemed to criticize Taemin’s agency, it seems that Taemin personally took steps to communicate with fans through fan communication channels.
