BTS‘s J-Hope has achieved the feat of ‘sell-out myth’ ahead of his first solo world tour.
J-Hope’s first world tour ‘j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’’ (hereafter ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’), which will be held for three days from February 28 to March 2 at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, sold out all three tickets for the Seoul concert as soon as the fan club advance ticket sales began on the 14th.
‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ will kick off with a splendid start in Seoul and will begin its North American tour starting in Brooklyn on March 13. In particular, they will attract attention by performing at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, USA on April 4 and 6. This is the first time a Korean solo artist has entered BMO Stadium.
Foreign media also reacted to the news of J-Hope‘s tour. The American economic magazine Forbes said, “This tour will be a signal for J-Hope’s return to the global stage and a new beginning.” It also focused on his first solo stadium entry, saying, “J-Hope is solidifying his pioneering position in K-pop as the first Korean solo artist to enter BMO Stadium.”
In addition, J-Hope, the first Korean singer to headline Lollapalooza, was praised for his stage presence, adding, “He is used to captivating large audiences as the first Korean singer to do so.”
In addition, many media outlets, including the largest US news agency, AP (Associated Press), and the US music media outlet Consequence of Sound, have been reporting news of J-Hope‘s world tour, pointing out his performance at the large-scale music festival Lollapalooza held in Chicago in 2022.
‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ will feature 31 performances in a total of 15 cities, including Seoul, Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, Los Angeles, Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and Osaka.
J-Hope plans to express his hopes, wishes, and dreams with the audience during this tour, along with ‘J-Hope on stage’. He is also preparing thoroughly for a concert with plenty to see, such as revealing for the first time the stages of songs from his special album ‘HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1’, released in March of last year.
Meanwhile, J-Hope made a surprise post on the team’s official YouTube channel on the 10th, titled ‘j-hope ‘Beginning of a New Dream’’. The video shows him working hard on music in the US and other places. At the end of the video, J-Hope said, “See you in Korea”, and added to his SNS, ‘New music on the way. 2025.03.’, raising curiosity.
