Singer Taemin‘s side has expressed their position on the activities of the group SHINee.

On the 15th, Taemin’s agency Big Planet Made explained the situation on their official SNS, saying, “We are aware of the concerns expressed due to posts on some communities and SNS regarding Taemin‘s activities in SHINee.”

They continued, “All of the content recently posted on SNS is clearly false,” and emphasized their ‘strong response’ attitude.

They also added, “We have always supported and cheered on SHINee’s activities, for which Taemin has great affection,” and “At the same time, we are doing our best to provide full support so that the artist can be treated fairly and be active.”

Lastly, they said, “We will actively support Taemin so that he can continue to shine as a solo artist and as a member of SHINee.”


This statement was brought to light when Taemin did not attend SM‘s 30th anniversary group concert held on the 11th and 12th. Only SHINee members Key and Minho performed on stage that day. Onew, who transferred to Griffin Entertainment, participated in SM’s 30th anniversary content, but Taemin, who is signed with Big Planet Made, did not have any content.

In this situation, various suspicions surrounding Taemin‘s absence were raised, such as an official from Onew’s agency posting a SNS message that seemed to attack Taemin‘s agency.

Regarding this, Taemin said through a fan communication platform on the 13th, “I’m sorry I couldn‘t show you SHINee during ’SM Town‘. I wanted to quickly finish talking to my agency and show you SHINee, but the back and forth took some time,” and added, “Still, we’re talking well and things will be sorted out soon. He reassured fans by saying, “I hope there are people who are worried that maybe they don’t want to be in SHINee anymore, or that they won’t be able to see SHINee in the future.”

He also expressed his determination by saying, “We are in the process of carefully organizing and preparing to start off SHINee well, so let’s meet again soon with smiles on our faces.”
