Rookie singer KAYA is starting her second year of activities.

Kaya, who will be releasing her new song ‘Rockstar’ on the 22nd, debuted in April of last year with ‘The Past You’, and showed a musical change with her follow-up song ‘Don‘t Go Far Away’, while challenging the rock genre.

The ‘Rockstar’ teaser, which will be released on the 16th, catches the eye with a scene where Kaya transforms into a rock band member and plays the guitar on stage. The lyrics ‘My dream written in detail... ...I’ll be your ROCKSTAR’

The upbeat sound and vocals combine to show Kaya‘s unique rock style.

Unlike her previous ballad and city pop works, it took her a while to decide to try the rock genre. However, her agency was considerate enough to let Kaya do the music she wanted to do, and Kaya showed off her side as a singer-songwriter by participating in the lyrics.

The teaser to be released on the 16th shows her wearing a high-teen look as a band member and playing the guitar. She has played the acoustic guitar before, but for this shoot, she tried the electric guitar, showing a completely different spectrum from what she has shown in her previous songs.
