YG Entertainment has caught everyone‘s attention by announcing that YG’s new girl group Baby Monster will be releasing their first full-length album [DRIP] on November 1st.

In the video released that day, General Producer Yang Hyun-suk caught everyone‘s attention by personally explaining the 9 tracks included in Baby Monster’s full-length album [DRIP]. He shared his hopes and aspirations for the special pre-promotion plan that has never been seen before, as well as the global tour that will be held starting next year.

With General Producer Yang Hyun-suk leading everything from the beginning, Baby Monster officially debuted as a 7-member group on April 1st of this year. Even though they are a rookie group that hasn‘t even been around for a year, the global success they have shown proves that they are showing incredible indicators that are hard to believe.

In fact, Baby Monster achieved a new record for the first week of sales for a K-pop girl group’s debut album with their first mini-album [BABYMONS7ER], selling a total of 401,287 copies. The title song ‘SHEESH’ music video recently achieved 300 million views on YouTube, and the choreography video has also surpassed 150 million views, showing dazzling presence in the global market. The number of subscribers, which is considered an indicator of fandom formation, is also approaching 7 million.

As interest in Baby Monster‘s first full-length album is gradually heating up, CEO Yang said, “I really like this album,” revealing his extraordinary confidence in the tracks included. With the unique promotional strategy that he personally revealed on this day, expectations for the comeback are expected to grow even more. Starting this week, YG will make an unconventional attempt to pre-release two songs from the album, excluding the title track, for about one minute each week.

[DRIP] consists of a total of 9 tracks. The first track is ‘CLIK CLAK’, which Director Yang described as “a hip-hop song with strong originality that even YG has never shown before.” It marks the first chapter of the album with Baby Monster’s new musical attempt, with all seven members appearing as rappers.

The second track is the title song of the same name as the album, ‘DRIP’. Director Yang said, “It‘s a song that makes people of all ages want to dance. He hinted, “Please look forward to the passionate performance that Baby Monster will show,” and raised expectations by making a surprise announcement that “G-Dragon helped compose the music and it turned out to be great music.”

Next, ‘Love, Maybe’ with beautiful vocals standing out on top of the guitar, ‘Really Like You’ with a 90s hip-hop feel, ‘BILLIONAIRE’ with a Y2K feel with a heavy 808 bass and R&B sound, ‘Love In My Heart’ with a cheerful feel that can be enjoyed by all ages, ‘Woke Up In Tokyo (RUKA & ASA)’ with the hip-hop vibe of the Japanese members, the pre-released song ‘FOREVER’, and ‘BATTER which was greatly loved as the fan meeting encore song. UP (Remix) – Bonus Track’, etc. will be included in that order.

This full-length album is being carried out as a large-scale project with the full support of YG. Usually, for a full-length album, it is common to film one or two music videos, but CEO Yang Hyun-suk said, “We plan to film at least three music videos for Baby Monster’s album,”, showing special affection and confidence for Baby Monster‘s first album.

Regarding Baby Monster’s new choreography, CEO Yang said, “For the past 28 years, all the choreography for YG artists such as Big Bang, 2NE1, and Blackpink has been completely my work. That‘s why it is not difficult, but in the case of Baby Monster, a world tour is being planned. He said, “It can be a bit overwhelming to control the choreography of all the songs in the album at the same time, but we will definitely produce good results,” and expressed Baby Monster’s determination to expand its global base.

Furthermore, General Manager Yang said, “From now on, fans will be able to listen to Baby Monster’s new songs with excitement every week. I hope you can sympathize and enjoy them together until the release of the full album on November 1,” and announced that the music video for “CLIK CLAK” will be released 2-3 days before the album release. He continued, “We will not release any teasers for the title song until the release date. We want to keep it well-hidden and make an impact. We ask for your support, global fans.”
