Singer Yoo Hyun-sang is receiving attention for his new song ‘That‘s Me’ from his first full-length album in four years.
’That’s Me‘, a rock trot song with Yoo Hyun-sang‘s signature deep sensibility, was written by Kim Hyun-jin, who wrote Moon Hee-ok’s ’Parallel Lines‘, and composed by Yoo Hyun-sang, making it even more of a hot topic.
It‘s a song of hope that will lift the self-esteem of middle-aged people who have fallen and gritting their teeth even when they were staggering and falling in the wind and rain of the past years, while patting themselves on the back with the lyrics, ‘The past years were just practice. Life starts now’, ‘That’s right, that‘s me’.
‘That’s Me’, which was officially released on September 19th through Melon, Soribada, and other music portals, as well as YouTube, is the title track of a full-length album released four years ago in May 2020.
It also includes two new songs: ‘Just Believe’ (lyrics by Im Hwi, composition by Yoo Hyun-sang), a song urging couples and lovers who have been together for a long time to live with faith, and ‘Friend’ (lyrics by Im Hwi, composition by Yoo Hyun-sang), a song for a friend who always runs to you and holds your hand whenever you‘re having a hard time.

Yoo Hyun-sang said, “I sang the song because I wanted to form a deep bond with my fans who are having a hard time and are tired. It is a song that touches your heart more than ever and is warm.”
The music production company C&O (CEO Maeng Jeong-ho), which is in charge of promoting Yoo Hyun-sang, said, “Along with the release of this new song, we plan to meet many fans through broadcasts as well as full-fledged concert activities.”
Meanwhile, Yoo Hyun-sang was the lead vocalist of Baekdusan, which led Korean rock in the early 80s. In the early 90s, he transformed into a trot singer by singing ‘Woman’, and is actively promoting with hit songs such as ‘If You Want to Go, Go’ and ‘Reins’.
