‘YG Family’ is in full operation, and behind it was ‘Yang Hyun-suk‘s leadership’.

With YG Entertainment stars such as group 2NE1, BLACKPINK, and Baby Monster all entering ‘activity mode’, General Producer Yang Hyun-suk is drawing attention by leading related projects from the front lines.

General Producer Yang himself stepped forward in front of the camera to support rookie Baby Monster, who debuted only six months ago. In a video released on the official YouTube channel on the 8th, he explained in detail the new album information, including the comeback date of Baby Monster’s first full-length album ‘DRIP’, the title song of the same name, and nine other tracks included in the album.

In the process, the title song ‘Drip’, which will be released on November 1st, made a surprise announcement that “G-Dragon participated in the composition and we got a satisfactory result”, drawing hot attention. It has been revealed that the main person who led this collaboration with G-Dragon is also General Manager Yang.

He has maintained a special relationship with G-Dragon, who left YG Entertainment last December and transferred the trademark rights related to his stage name to him free of charge. In the music industry, it is rare for a former agency to transfer trademark rights, so some have responded that General Manager Yang made a ‘big choice’.

In addition, General Manager Yang will also embark on various ‘experiments’ with Baby Monster‘s new album. Starting on the 11th, he will be carrying out an unprecedented promotion by releasing the first verses of the songs in order every Friday and Saturday. Also, all seven members will participate as rappers in the first track, ‘CLIK CLAK, to properly showcase the ‘YG hip-hop’ identity. Director Yang also showed extraordinary confidence in the album, saying, “We will film at least three music videos.”.

Prior to this, he also planned 2NE1’s 15th anniversary concert with the four members, which was a huge success. He helped prepare for 2NE1‘s first solo concert in 10 years, by closely discussing it with the members from the planning stage.

Despite the fact that large-scale concert halls were already fully booked for this year, Director Yang hurriedly pushed for the rental of the Olympic Hall in order to realize the members’ wish to “start a tour in Korea.” Thanks to the full support of CEO Yang, 2NE1 made a grand opening for their new Asia tour ‘Welcome Back’ from the 4th to the 6th.

Based on CEO Yang Hyun-suk‘s ‘persistence’, YG has announced that its big stars will be making a comeback next year as well. Global girl group BLACKPINK is expected to resume full group activities next year, and Winner, who is completing their ‘Military Service’ at the end of the year, is also expected to start preparing for a comeback.

CEO Yang is not only focusing on existing groups, but also on discovering new artists. It has been reported that he is working hard and being extensively involved in the production of a new group that will be introduced next year.
