Singer G-Dragon has confirmed his appearance at the ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS’, standing on stage for the first time in 9 years.

According to the 3rd performing artist lineup announced by the MAMA Awards on the 22nd, G-Dragon will perform on stage at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on the 23rd, the last day of the awards ceremony. The last time he stood on the MAMA Awards stage was in 2015.

The MAMA Awards stated, “He is an artist of artists who have led K-pop trends and created numerous ‘firsts, and he has created numerous iconic scenes that are still talked about today, so please keep an eye out for him to see what kind of unique appearance he will use to create another history.” However, it is not yet known whether G-Dragon will join Big Bang‘s Taeyang and Daesung on the stage.

Along with G-Dragon, BIBI, BOYNEXTDOOR, (G)I-DLE, and PLAVE have also been named in the third lineup.

BOYNEXTDOOR and PLAVE will perform on the first day, the 22nd (Korean time). The fifth-generation K-pop boy group BOYNEXTDOOR has recently achieved their best results not only in Korea but also in the US and Japan as well as globally with their third mini-album ‘19.99’, continuing their ‘career high’ march in both albums and digital music.

Playbe, a five-member virtual idol group that debuted last year, has continued their march to the top of music charts and music shows this year. Not only did they sell out all tickets to their fan concert in October in just 10 minutes, they also presented an eye-catching experience that blurred the line between the audience and the stage.

BIBI, (G)I-dle, and G-Dragon will make an appearance on their second day in Japan on the 23rd. BIBI, who swept various music charts with her single ‘Night Yokan’ released in February of this year and became a mega hit, has emerged as a popular artist across all generations. She is loved for her unique tone and color as well as her commanding stage presence.

(G)I-dle achieved a music show triple crown with the title song ‘Klaxon’ from their 7th mini album released in July, and after topping major charts domestically and internationally, they are leading an explosive response with their powerful performances and singing ability as they hold a world tour in 14 cities around the world starting with the Seoul concert.

Meanwhile, the MAMA Awards will be held at the Dolby Theater in LA, USA on November 21st and at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan on November 22nd and 23rd (local time), and will be live-streamed worldwide through Mnet, as well as the Mnet K-POP YouTube channel and Mnet TV.
