Group 82MAJOR has entered the Billboard charts just one year after their debut.

According to Billboard, an American music media outlet, on the 6th (Korean time), 82MAJOR‘s second mini-album ‘X-82’, released on the 15th of last month, entered the Album Sales chart at 45th place.

In addition, the group set a new record by ranking 37th on the ‘Current Album Sales’, 24th on the ‘Emerging Artist’, and 15th on the ‘World Sales’.

According to the announcement from the US chart analysis platform Luminate, they ranked 5th on the ‘Top New Artist Albums’, 13th on the ‘Record Label Independent Current Albums’, and 36th on the ‘Heatseekers Albums’.

This shows that 82Major is receiving attention in the US even though they are a rookie artist who debuted only a year ago. It is even more meaningful that 82Major, an artist from a new agency rather than a large agency, achieved this feat solely through their own skills.

In addition, 82Major also ranked 20th on the ‘Internet Albums’. This is a meaningful achievement for a 5th generation idol group targeting the MZ generation with high demand for digital music, and we can get a glimpse of 82major’s popularity index.

Previously, 82major had been recognized for their talent and potential and had drawn the attention of American hip-hop magazines and overseas media. Following their first mini-album ‘BEAT by 82’, they participated in writing lyrics and composing the title song and other tracks in ‘X-82, solidifying the group‘s identity.

The music video for the title song ’Stuck‘ caused an explosive response from fans at home and abroad, recording 11 million views in just a week with its cinematic directing and 82major’s signature style.
