Group Tomorrow x Together has also melted the hearts of Japanese ‘fans.’
According to their agency Big Hit Music on the 6th, Tomorrow x Together‘s 7th mini album ‘Star Chapter: Sanctuary’ (SANCTUARY) went straight to 1st place on the ‘Daily Album Ranking’ on the latest chart (dated November 4th) released by Japan’s Oricon. It recorded sales of 112,713 copies on the first day of its release in Japan.
With this, TXT has topped the ‘Daily Album Ranking’ for all 10 albums from their 2nd mini album ‘The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY’ released in May 2020 to ‘minisode 3: TOMORROW’ released this April.
The sales of the best-selling album in Japan last week were approximately 130,000 copies, and their new album achieved sales figures close to that in just one day. Expectations are high for TXT to break their own record for ‘Number of consecutive #1 overseas artist albums on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart’ with 10 #1s.
The title song ‘Over The Moon’ ranked 2nd on the ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’. It ranked highest among the songs by K-pop artists on the ranking that day. The song also ranked 2nd on Japan‘s iTunes ‘Top Songs’ chart, and its music video ranked 3rd on YouTube’s Most Popular Music.
Some of the songs on the album, including ‘Heaven’ and ‘Higher Than Heaven’, also ranked 1st to 5th on the real-time chart of Japan‘s music service AWA. The 7th mini album also ranked 1st on both Japan’s Apple Music ‘Top Albums’ and iTunes ‘Top Albums’ charts.
Meanwhile, TXT‘s new song ‘Over The Moon’ was on the ‘Daily Top Songs’ in 11 countries and regions, including Korea, Japan, and Singapore, on the November 4 chart of Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
They will begin music broadcast promotions starting with KBS 2TV‘s ‘Music Bank’ on the 8th. On the same day, the music video ‘Over the Moon’, ‘Our Sanctuary’ version, will be released.
