The winning team of Season 14 of the ‘Super Rookie Challenge’, the ‘gateway to success’ for star rappers, has finally been revealed.

The final round of Season 14 of the ‘Super Rookie Challenge’ will be held at 8 PM on the 8th at Prism Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The final 14 teams will compete against each other amidst performances by singers with unique personalities, including both hip-hop and R&B musicians.

SAM, who took first place with the most votes for his powerful performance in Round 2, Choi Yu-dam, who took second place with his unique music style, hip-hop crew NWV, who came in third place with their tight rap, and Danny Dick, who has experience in everything from R&B to rap, have advanced to the semifinals. In particular, SAM, NWV, and Danny Dick, who placed in the top 4 in Rounds 1 and 2, are the favorites to win.

The winning team will receive a prize of 1 million won and a chance to perform at a concert hosted by Black Soul, and Deepflow and Don Mills will perform on stage as special guests at this Super Rookie Challenge.

The ‘Super Rookie Challenge’, which has produced influential artists such as Jo Kwang-il, Punchnello, Don Mills, Yunhwe, Shins, Oban, Jenne the Zilla, and EK, is a hip-hop rookie survival performance that started for rookie musicians who want to do hip-hop music, are releasing mixtapes and albums, but lack a stage to perform on or the ability to promote themselves.

Nino, the representative of Black Soul (a black music support organization) that hosts the ‘Super Rookie Challenge’, said, “Concerts for new artists are always a loss, but as a first-generation underground rapper, I have been doing it for over 10 years with the hope that Korean hip-hop will continue. I hope that talented and good musicians in Korean black music, which has been a stepping stone for many famous musicians, will be widely known,” he said.
