Singer AOORA heated up the Indian Hallyu Festival. It was truly a melting pot of enthusiasm.

AOORA headlined the ‘KoreM Festival’ held in Meghalaya, northeastern India on the 1st. AOORA, who appeared on the closing stage, passionately sang her hit songs ‘Jimmy Jimmy’, ’Body Talk‘, ‘LOVE is RIGHT’, as well as famous Bollywood songs. Following this, producer and DJ Friday (FRIDAYYY) led the audience with his DJ time.

In particular, on this day, Aura performed the song ‘The Greatest (Prod. Dbryn)’, which was produced by the Meghalaya government and the Department of Arts and Culture, for the first time on stage. The song was sung in five languages - Khasi, Pnar, Garo - the languages of Meghalaya, as well as English and Korean - and drew the cheers of an audience of around 7,500 people for about an hour, along with Meghalaya artistes Lamphang Syiemlieh, Jessie Lyngdoh and Ahaia D Sangma who sang the song together.

The ‘KoreM Festival’, held in collaboration with the Meghalaya government, SGT Events and Global Influencer Network of Korea (GINCON), was the first event to celebrate the cultural exchange between Korea and India, introducing various aspects of Korean culture to India, including K-pop cover dance, singing contests, cosplay, and Korean food and cultural experiences.

Meghalaya Minister of Arts and Culture ‘Bah Paul Lyngdoh, who hosted the performance, said, “India and Korea are familiar and have many similarities. “I hope that through this performance, which went beyond a simple festival and showcased the beauty of cultural collaboration, and various cultural exchanges with Korea, the regional music of Meghalaya will reach a new level,” he said.

Meanwhile, AOORA was the first Korean to appear on India’s representative reality show, ‘Big Boss Season 17’, and made it to the final Top 10. She is considered a representative Hallyu musician in India for her various activities, including holding city tour concerts in India, as a public relations ambassador, and as an advertising model.
