Singer Baek Ji-young, who celebrates the 25th anniversary of her debut this year, will be joining the ranks of year-end comebacks.

According to the music industry on the 8th, Baek Ji-young has confirmed a comeback on December 2nd and is busy putting the finishing touches on her album. It will be her first solo album in two years, rather than a collaborative project or OST, since the digital single ‘I Become a Fool in Front of Love’ in June 2022.

It has been reported that this comeback will be a commemorative activity for her 25th debut anniversary. Baek Ji-young revealed on her YouTube channel last year, “2024 is my 25th debut anniversary, so I am planning to release a commemorative album.” Also, she recently appeared on the KBS 2TV entertainment program ‘Synchro You’, hinting at her comeback.

In particular, the music video for the new album‘s title track has caught attention with ‘star director’ Lee Eung Bok directing the megaphone. Director Lee is known as one of the main characters who led the ‘K-drama’ craze with global hits such as KBS 2TV’s ‘Descendants of the Sun’, tvN‘s ‘Goblin’, ‘Mr. Sunshine’, and Netflix’s ‘Sweet Home’ series.

This is the first time director Lee has directed a music video rather than a drama. Fans are curious to see what kind of synergy Baek Ji Young‘s deep emotions will create when meeting ‘melodrama specialist’ Director Lee Eung Bok.

Baek Ji-young has wrapped up her 25th anniversary, which was filled with YouTube activities, entertainment appearances, and project music releases, with album activities. She plans to meet the audience on various stages after the release of her new album.
