‘Dark Fantasy King’ ENHYPEN is back.

ENHYPEN will once again solidify their identity with their second full-length repackaged album ‘Romance: Untold -daydream-’, which will be released today (the 11th) at 6 PM.

In this album, ENHYPEN tells the story of ‘Midday Dream’, which confirms a greater love through the absence of ‘you’. Their unique romance story, which has expanded on their previous work, is garnering much attention. The new songs ‘No Doubt’ and ‘Daydream’ include 10 tracks from their second full-length album ‘Romance: Untold’.

ENHYPEN has been hotter than ever this year. They have achieved ‘career highs’ with every comeback, such as ranking 2nd on the ‘Billboard 200’ and achieving double million sellers within the first week of album release. Their hearts have also grown significantly as they have traveled the global stage with a world tour that has become even larger. The following is a Q&A with ENHYPEN via their agency BELIFT LAB.

Q. ‘Romance: Untold -Daydream-’ Thoughts on the Release

Heeseung: We‘ve been running nonstop this year, but I’m really excited to meet ENGENE (fandom name) again so quickly. We added songs that deal with deeper emotions than our previous work, so please look forward to them.

Jake: We‘ve prepared hard to show you unique songs and performances. Please keep watching as we refined and coolly presented each song in ENHYPEN’s own way!

Sung Hoon: I always look forward to fun promotions every time we make a comeback. I‘m excited to show you various performances following this promotion and until the end-of-year stage.

Q. If you were to describe this album in one word?

Heeseung: Savory. The flavor has become stronger. I think this album will capture the hearts of ENGENE members as it will be an album that will be rich in fun through music, music videos, and performances.

Jay: Challenge. It has a different genre, atmosphere, and concept than what ENHYPEN has shown so far.

Sunwoo: The ultimate showdown. Since it’s an album coming out before the end of the year, we poured out everything we had saved for last. The new song has a strong impact.

Q. What did you work hard on before your comeback?

Jungwon: I prepared hard for the performance because I wanted to hear people say, “You‘re good on stage.” The choreography is especially cool, so I think I’ll be able to show the charm of ENHYPEN that ENHYPEN wants.

Sunwoo: I studied a lot about how to sing while recording. I thought about where to put emphasis so that it wouldn‘t sound boring and would be well-made, such as scratching my voice or giving a whispering feeling to bring out the nuance of the lyrics.

Niki: Since it’s an album that follows ‘Romance: Untold,’ I thought that conveying the emotional line was important. That‘s why I focused on this part and practiced, and I really hoped that this effort would be well-communicated to the listeners.
Q. What is the charming point of the title song ‘No Doubt’?

Jungwon: I thought it was a good song the moment I heard it. It’s a song where you can comfortably enjoy the retro sensibility and kitschy, clean mood. I hope you can also feel our mature side.

Sunghoon: The point choreography for this song is impressive, where you put your hands in your back pockets and dance. It‘s not easy to put your hands in your pockets at once, but I hope many people will watch it and follow along.

Niki: The straightforward lyrics are attractive. In particular, there’s the lyric “You‘re my answer”, and I think Engine is literally my answer and the answer to everything. Please focus on these lyrics!

Q. How did you feel when you first heard ‘Daydream’?

Jay: I was sure that it would give me fresh enjoyment. Since it’s a genre of song that ENHYPEN hasn‘t performed before, I’m even more excited to see how the fans will receive it.

Sung Hoon: It was nice that I could try something new. It was hard to get into the hip-hop rhythm, but I kept practicing over and over again to bring out the feeling of the song.

Niki: Actually, there were a lot of good songs, including ‘Daydream’. ‘Daydream’ is a genre I‘ve never tried before, so I was worried about how I would express the whisper rap, but I chose this song because I wanted to challenge myself. The members thought the same.

Q. What is ENHYPEN’s ‘Undoubted’ strength?

Jung Won: I‘d say communication with the fans. I think communication with the Enjin members is the most basic, so I always try to express my feelings. That’s why I‘m trying to communicate and empathize with the Enjin members more.

Jay: I think it’s passion. None of the members of ENHYPEN do anything half-heartedly, and I can‘t stand such things because of my personality.

Jake: I think ENHYPEN’s year-end stage is something that has no doubts. We always work hard for a good stage, and among them, we prepare even harder because we think of ‘Year-end=ENHYPEN’, so don‘t doubt us and look forward to it!

Q. If you look back on 2024?

Heeseung: I think there were a lot of changes for me as ENHYPEN grew. I think my musical limitations have decreased, and it was a year where I felt like I was one step closer to my dream.

Jake: I think we achieved a lot of what we planned this year. That’s because my goal for this year was to meet many ENHYPEN members. We were able to show a lot of our stage while going on a world tour. I want to continue this momentum and finish well by the end of the year.

Sunwoo: It was a meaningful year for me because I achieved a lot with ENHYPEN. I want to spend the rest of 2024 well while finishing up my promotions for ‘Romance: Untold -Daydream-’.

Q. A word to the fans who have been waiting for your comeback

Jungwon: I had a variety of experiences while preparing for this album, and I received strength from Enjin each time. I felt Enjin‘s love and I want to tell them thank you. Following these promotions, I will be with Enhypen until the end-of-year stage this winter!

Heeseung: Both ‘No Doubt’ and ‘Daydream’ have a charm that makes you want to listen to them over and over again once you hear them, so please look forward to them.
