Girl group KISS OF LIFE is standing tall as a ‘reverse icon’.

KISS OF LIFE‘s song ‘Igloo’ from their third mini album ‘Lose Yourself’, released last month, has been gaining popularity and recently doing well on domestic and international charts. As of the morning of the 11th, ‘Igloo’ ranked 63rd on Melon TOP 100 chart and was also on major domestic charts such as Bugs, Flo, and Genie.

Its overseas popularity is also increasing. It ranked in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia on the daily chart of Spotify, the world’s largest streaming platform. It was also on Apple Music Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. YouTube Music‘s weekly chart is ranked 8th in Korea, and is rising in Asia, including Nigeria and Indonesia.

‘Igloo’ is an R&B hip-hop genre song that contains the message that even an igloo that doesn’t melt even if you light a fire inside can melt with their own charm. The song features a catchy melody, chic rapping, and dreamy vocals. With their unique and confident attitude and point choreography, they are enjoying popularity just like their title song ‘Get Loud’, creating a challenge craze.

Their ‘reverse popularity’ is not their first. The title song ‘Shhh’ from their debut album ‘KISS OF LIFE’ and Natty‘s solo song ‘Sugarcoat’ created an unusual situation where they started to reverse the charts right at the end of their promotions.

The title song ‘Bad News’ and the double title song ‘Nobody Knows’ of their second mini album ‘Born to be XX’ also showed an upward trend on the charts three months after their release.

Meanwhile, Kiss of Life started their first world tour ‘KISS ROAD’ global concerts following the Seoul concert, and recently drew explosive responses from fans in Minneapolis, USA. They plan to continue meeting their global fans through follow-up concerts.
