The group Baby Monster is doing well on the Chinese music charts.
According to their agency YG Entertainment on the 13th, Baby Monster succeeded in ‘lining up’ on the QQ Music K-pop weekly chart (2024.11. 01~2024.11. 07), China‘s largest music site, with their first full-length album [DRIP]. The double title songs ‘DRIP’ and ‘CLIK CLAK’ ranked 1st and 3rd, respectively, and all of the new songs included in the album also ranked high.
They also swept the main charts within QQ Music. ‘DRIP’ ranked at the top of the rise, trending index, popularity, and new song charts, and have maintained their position on the MV chart for 13 days. The songs included in the album also received consistent love and made it onto the list, demonstrating the special interest and expectations of local fans toward their music world.
It is widely popular not only among Chinese music fans but also among music fans around the world. ‘DRIP’ entered Billboard 200, Billboard’s main chart in the US, at 149th place, and broke their own records by ranking 16th and 30th on Billboard Global Excl. US and Billboard Global 200 respectively.
Album sales are also remarkable. Their first full-length album [DRIP] achieved a career-high with a total of 677,961 copies sold, and showed a steep increase with 820,000 copies ordered in just one week, nearly doubling the previous sales.
With this momentum, Baby Monster plans to actively appear on various platforms including music broadcasts, entertainment shows, radio, and YouTube. Starting next year, they will expand their global base with their first world tour since debut.
