Girl group ILLIT has announced their follow-up song promotions with ‘Tick-Tack’.
On the 13th at 6 PM, ILLIT surprised everyone by releasing a music video teaser for ‘Tick-Tack’, a track from their second mini-album ‘I’LL LIKE YOU’, through the HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
‘Tick-Tack’‘s unique electronic sounds capture the ears from the start, while the members’ funky styling catches the eye. When the cabinet doors open, the members‘ unique visuals are revealed through them, giving off ILLIT’s unique mood. The meaningful scene of Iroha picking up a piece of paper from a cabinet cluttered with various objects and the smiles of the members surrounding her is significant.
Despite being a short teaser, this video left a strong impression and raised expectations for the main episode, which will be released at 6 PM on the 14th.
‘Tic Tac’ is a pop genre song that contains the noisy inner feelings that change from moment to moment. The lyrics of this song are unique in that they liken a complicated situation where the aspects you want to show and the aspects you want to hide are all mixed up to a chaotic cabinet. The unique scat sound in the chorus is getting a good response as it gets stuck in your ears like the sound of a clock‘s hands (Tick-Tack).
Short-form videos utilizing sound sources began to gather attention early on. Ailrit maximized the song’s quirky and lively charm by releasing various witty videos as well as the point choreography of ‘Tic Tac’. The number of views of the videos related to ‘Tic Tac’ that they posted on social media such as TikTok and Instagram is close to 18 million.
Illit will begin full-scale follow-up song promotions starting with KBS 2TV‘s music program ‘Music Bank’ on the 15th.
