Rookie girl group VVUP has won first place in the rookie singer category with overwhelming support from netizens in a vote at a major domestic award ceremony.

VVUP will attend the ‘16th Seoul Success Awards’ to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul on the 25th.

The ‘Seoul Success Awards’ is the largest awards ceremony in Korea that selects people who have contributed to the nation‘s development in various fields including politics, economy, society, and culture.

VVUP proved their title of ‘Global Rookie’ by coming in first place with an overwhelming 60.19% of the votes in the netizen vote for the rookie singer category after fierce competition.

VVUP, which made their official debut in the music industry last April with the release of their first single ‘Locked On’, has established themselves as a team with a multinational member and has shined on the global charts since their debut.

VVUP showed off their skills that believable from a rookie group, with dynamic group dances and stable live performances on every stage. In the case of the digital single ‘Ain’t Nobody‘, VVUP’s powerful performance with a refreshing charm different from their previous works received much love from global K-POP fans.
