‘Emotional Craftsman’ Singer Paul Kim is bringing vitality to K-pop in Indonesia.

On the 9th, Paul Kim was invited to ‘3-HOURS NEWS’, the main news program of Indonesia‘s leading broadcaster SEA Today, and captivated local fans with interviews and live performances.

’SEA Today’ is a channel that provides Indonesian English news to all of Southeast Asia. In addition to current affairs news, ‘3-HOURS NEWS’ also features interview segments with renowned cultural and artistic figures. This time, Paul Kim, who visited Jakarta for a performance, was invited and given significant programming with a headline preview.

The news introduced Paul Kim with the title ‘With the King of K-Drama Soundtracks’, and the anchor welcomed him, saying, “We finally get to see this artist’s face.” During the talk, he sometimes said, “In Indonesia, Paul Kim is known as the king of OSTs,” and “He has finally risen to the throne of the king of K-pop,” describing the enthusiastic local response.

Paul Kim smiled shyly, saying, “That‘s too much praise,” and lowered his posture, saying, “It’s been a very grateful journey so far. It‘s all thanks to the many opportunities I’ve been given, and I think I‘m especially lucky.” When asked about his growth as an artist, he answered, “Following my dream itself required a lot of passion. I always make mistakes and I don’t know if things will get better, but I had to keep following my dream and believe in myself.”

The interview continued for 30 minutes, from deep questions about his musical inspiration, work process, philosophy, and values as a singer-songwriter, to casual Q&As like an Indonesian food quiz. Paul Kim performed live ‘I Like It’, ‘Every Day, Every Moment’, two of the most beloved songs in the region, and promised to visit again next time.

Paul Kim has been expanding his scope of activities to a global scale since last year, performing in Asia, Europe, etc.
