‘Singles’ has caught attention by revealing a visual pictorial of Lee Chae-min, the lead role of Netflix original ‘Hairaki’.
In the pictorial, Lee Chae-min reinterprets the colors of autumn with her own colors, showing off her unique charm.
‘Hairaki’ is a drama that tells the story of what happens when a transfer student with a secret enters a high school where only the top 0.01% of students live, and cracks appear in their once solid world. Lee Chae-min has received favorable reviews for her delicate portrayal of the deep inner self of the transfer student ‘Kang-ha’. We asked where Lee Chae-min‘s driving force comes from. Lee Chae-min answered, “My passion is my true nature. I have perfectionist tendencies, so I have the mindset to do my best until the very end.” She also said, “I think this mindset came naturally because I enjoy exercising. “I think it’s because I often do sports where I compete with others rather than doing them alone,” she said, showing her strong competitive spirit.
Lee Chae-min had many opportunities to act with actors her age. When asked if she absorbs the strengths of her colleagues when acting with them, Lee Chae-min said, “I‘m a bit like that. It’s a little embarrassing to say it myself, but I‘ve often heard people say that I ’absorb well‘ on set. I enjoy observing, and I try to learn from their strengths and make them my own. That’s why I learn and gain a lot when acting with actors my age.”
When asked if there was any memorable advice from her seniors, she said, “I once heard that since every scene was so hard and I was nervous while filming, it would be better if I adjusted my acting a little depending on the scene. Now that I think about it, if I don‘t distribute my stamina well, I won’t be able to exert myself in important scenes in the latter half. That‘s why I thought I should think about that more and act. They told various stories about acting.
Lastly, they asked if there was anything they were trying to fill in recently. Lee Chae-min said, “These days, I’m focusing on vocal practice so that I can make various sounds when I act.” She also revealed her passion for acting by saying, “When I first started vocal practice and compare the voice I recorded with the same phrase now, I feel that I’ve improved a lot. I’ll continue to work hard.”
Lee Chae-min’s visual pictorial can be found in the October issue of ‘Singles’ and on the website.
