Actress Go Min-si met with ‘Arena’. Go Min-si recently took on the role of the villain ‘Yoo Sung-ah’ in the Netflix original series ‘In the Forest Without Anyone’, drawing keen attention.

The reason Go Min-si first dreamed of becoming an actress was because of the year-end award ceremonies she saw as a child. Go Min-si shared her feelings when she won the Best New Actress Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards last year. “There are times in movies when the screen moves slowly. The moment my name was called, all the surrounding sounds buzzed and it felt distant. At that moment, a scene from when I was young came to mind. It was me sitting in front of the TV, peeling tangerines, watching the year-end award ceremonies. It was a scene I had imagined countless times in my head. At that time, it felt surreal to receive an award in front of the actors I had seen on TV.”

Go Min-si has played diverse roles regardless of genre, including ‘The Witch’, ‘Smuggler’, ‘Sweet Home’, and ‘Youth of May’. Among them, which character was the most different from the human Go Min-si? “(In ‘In the Forest Without Anyone’) Yoo Seong-ah was different from me, but ‘Youth of May’ Myung-hee was very different. Myung-hee is so kind. (Laughs) I felt sorry for Myung-hee who lived her life caring for others more than herself. I wish she had taken care of herself at least once. That’s why I was even sadder.”

Lastly, Go Min-si talked about her future goals. “I want to become an actor that people look forward to. When will Go Min-si’s work be released? What kind of acting will she show us this time? I think that if you don‘t feel curious, you lose your charm. There are actors that you continue to be curious about no matter how much time passes. I also want to become an actor that you are always curious about.”
