Paris Olympic gold medalist fencer Do Kyung-dong took off his fencing uniform and showed off his model pose in a pictorial with a French men‘s brand.
In the pictorial, Do Kyung-dong showed off his dynamic and sharp appearance during the competition as well as his calm and elegant masculine side, wearing a calm yet comfortable silhouette and serious sensibility. Do Kyung-dong also showed off his boyish charm and charisma that contrasted his tall height and muscular physique, drawing admiration from the filming staff.
In the following interview, he also talked about his feelings about the Paris Olympics finals and his determination afterwards. He talked about the process of creating the decisive scene, from his attitude toward the finals, to his mindset when he got on stage, to the thrill of the moment when he achieved the best result.
“I wasn’t nervous, and my body moved as I practiced,” he said, recalling the first time he competed in the finals. “I think my body reacted automatically. I don‘t remember how I got the points.” This shows how intensely he practiced while preparing for the Olympics. Do Kyung-dong returned from the Paris Olympics and won two domestic competitions. Amid the pouring attention, he also talked about his mindset for preparing for the next time. “Rather, I thought a lot that I should go back to the basics. I thought that if I worked hard when I was a little higher, I would become a better athlete.”
