Singer John Park is drawing attention by revealing a new look through the October issue of ‘Arena Homme Plus’.

John Park stood in front of the camera ahead of the release of his new full-length album ‘PSST!’, his first in 11 years.

John Park said on his way to the filming site that the title of this album had changed. The original title was ‘SILVERLINE’, which means finding hope. He explained the meaning behind the new title. “‘PSST’ is a signal you make with your mouth before whispering something in the ear in America. This album contains stories I have never told before. There are many songs that sound like my true feelings. I named it ‘PSST!’ because it contains the content of telling my fans my real stories that I have not yet told them.”

John Park has also developed a cheerful and fun image by appearing on various entertainment programs including ‘Infinite Challenge’. Doesn‘t that appearance get in the way of your music activities?

“You might think I’m a comedian who sings well. You might think, ‘John Park is a funny person, but he makes this kind of music?’. (Omitted) I feel like my time is too precious to not do other activities because my appearance outside of music gets in the way of my music. No matter how funny I am and how much I like Pyongyang Naengmyeon, I believe that those who listen to my songs will like them in the end. I make music more seriously than I do Pyongyang Naengmyeon.”

John Park is now a father. He had his child‘s first birthday party the day before filming. How does he want to be remembered in the future? “He made good music. Of course, there are many people who can scream high notes more freely than my dad, but there was no one in Korea who made music like my dad. There were things that only my dad could do. He’s cool. I hope it is remembered that way.”

The pictorial and interview containing the candid appearance of singer John Park can be found in the October issue of ‘Arena Homme Plus’.
