The group NewJeans graced the cover of Elle‘s special digital project, ‘D Edition’.

On set, the five members of NewJeans, Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein, beautifully pulled off the 1990s minimalism concept with their passionate attitudes.

An interview was conducted after the pictorial shoot. Regarding the release of the double singles ‘How Sweet’ and ‘Supernatural’ in May and June respectively, and their active promotions in both Korea and Japan, Minzy said, “‘Supernatural’ was our official Japanese debut single, so I had really high expectations. I think it was a fun and meaningful activity because we were able to show a genre of music and dance that fits us well.”

NewJeans also successfully completed their fan meeting ‘Bernie’s Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ held in June. Daniel, who performed his self-composed song ‘Butterflies’ for the first time on the fan meeting stage, expressed his affection by saying, “I get excited and nervous when I meet the Bunnies. That‘s because they think of us so preciously. I made this song with my heart that I want to always be with the Bunnies.”. Hani also mentioned her memories from the fan meeting once again, saying, “In the pictures of the Bunnies that we took on stage, each and every fan’s expression was captured so clearly, so I looked at them for a long time. I got emotional seeing their happy expressions that I couldn‘t see clearly on stage.”.

Hyein, who joined towards the end of the ‘Supernatural’ album promotions due to an injury, said, “While I was resting, I really watched my sisters’ videos every single day. The word ‘happiness’ suits the team called New Jeans the best when I see them from a distance. When we were promoting, I didn‘t realize it, but it was a precious time when I truly felt happy watching the stage and listening to the music,“ she said, expressing her feelings about the team.

When asked about the moment when she felt herself growing closer to the members, Hae-rin mentioned the bond between the members, saying, ”Before going on stage, when we shout ‘Fighting!’. The moment we look into each other’s eyes and shout the slogan, I feel that we all rely on each other.“

ELLE D Edition, which New Jeans has been crowned cover star, is a digital project launched by Elle targeting the web and social media audience.

New Jeans‘ digital cover and moving cover, fashion film, and video interview will be exclusively released on Elle’s website and SNS channels. The full story of the pictorial and individual interviews with all the members will also be specially published in the November issue of Elle.
