Fashion magazine ‘Harper‘s Bazaar’ Korea released a pictorial with actor Hong Jung-min, born in 2010, who debuted in the drama ‘Mother’ and recently gained attention through the short films ‘The Quilt’ and ‘Hansel: Two School Uniform Skirts’.
In this pictorial, Hong Jung-min showed off her lovely and diverse charms in a voluminous puff dress and a frilly blouse.
In the interview that followed, when asked about her feelings about recently being invited to various film festivals through her short films, she said, “When I was talking with the audience at the Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival, an audience member asked me to sing a verse of Kim Bum-ryong’s ‘Winter Rain Is Falling’, which Han-seul sang in the film. I was a little nervous for a moment, but the atmosphere of the film festival was so good that I was able to sing without being too nervous. When the song ended and the audience applauded, I felt really good.”
When asked about the difficulties he faced while experiencing various movie sets, he said, “Of course, it’s physically demanding, and there are emotional scenes that I find difficult. I get especially nervous when filming close-up scenes where even the slightest facial expression is visible. But even if the director says it’s okay, I always tell him if I want to act again. In order to get at least one more chance.”
When asked about his thoughts on the profession of an actor, who started acting as a child actor 10 years after his debut this year, he revealed his deep affection for acting, saying, “I think an actor’s job is to make others feel certain emotions. I want to become an actor who acts with sincerity so that people can feel various emotions while watching my acting.”
“Harper’s Bazaar” plans an Actor’s Chair every month to highlight actors who have been active in independent films and various works. The pictorial and interview with the tenth protagonist, Hong Jeong-min, can be found in the October issue of ’Harper‘s Bazaar‘ and on the website.
