New Jeans Hyein “I worried about useless things and regretted it... The burden is fun and I‘m grateful” [Photoshoot]
A cool and dynamic pictorial of group New Jeans has been revealed.
On the 4th, fashion magazine ‘Vogue Korea’ released the digital cover featuring New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) and Nike through their official SNS. In the pictorial, New Jeans wears new sneakers from a sports brand and shows off various stylings for each of the five members. The bold and lively poses further enhance the sporty feel. In the unit cuts, they each showed off their outstanding concept digestion by creating a block core look that fits their individual personalities.
In an interview following the pictorial, New Jeans honestly shared various thoughts ranging from team activities to personal tastes. Minzy expressed her affection for the members by saying, “They are precious people who have helped me grow a lot and have been a great source of strength at every moment,” and “They are like one big pillar that I cannot leave out of my life.”
Hani, who usually enjoys retro sensibilities such as film cameras and LPs, said, “Film cameras have the charm of capturing those moments in pictures so you can look at them later and reminisce,” and “It’s really fun and healing to choose by looking at LP album covers when I want to listen to music.”
Daniel said about the self-composed song he performed at the Tokyo Dome fan meeting, “Sometimes, if you put things that you can’t express in words into a song, you can convey them well without embarrassment.” He added, “I wanted to put the warmth and excitement I feel for Bunnies (fandom name) into a song. He also explained, “It’s a song I made with the hope that all the shining moments with Bernie’s will be truly precious and eternal.”
New Jeans also talked about the mindset they’ve gained from experiencing various stages since their debut. Hae-rin said, “I do my best depending on the stage situation at that time. Even if variables arise, I try to deal with them freely.” Hye-in said, “Looking back, there were times when I regretted not being able to fully enjoy that moment because of useless worries. So at some point, my heart started pounding more than I felt burdened. And even that burden is fun and I’m grateful.”
New Jeans’ pictorial and interview can be found on the official SNS and homepage of ‘Vogue Korea’.
