Fashion lifestyle magazine ‘Allure Korea’ has released a pictorial of actress Shin Ye-eun.

In the pictorial, Shin Ye-eun sheds her image as Heo Yeong-seo in the tvN drama ‘Retirement’ and gives off a lovely autumn vibe. It is said that in this pictorial that took place in Tokyo, Shin Ye-eun enjoyed the set and drew admiration from the staff with her poses and gazes that changed from moment to moment.

In the interview that followed the shoot, Shin Ye-eun talked about her efforts for Heo Yeong-seo and her feelings. When asked about the secret to a perfect national theater stage, she said, “I practiced every single day without fail. One day, I set a goal of ‘not going home if I don‘t do as well as I wanted to do, and practiced all night. I had to admit that I couldn’t be perfect, but I wasn‘t good at that. I think I just felt stressed and pressured,” she said, sharing an intense moment.

Having captivated many people with the charm of traditional Korean music, he revealed that he paid attention to Yeong-seo’s growth in each performance. “I wanted to portray Yeong-seo overcoming her limitations in each performance, like breaking out of an egg. In ‘Chunhyangjeon’, I portrayed her in a classic manner but seemed somewhat trapped in a mold, and in ‘Jamyunggo’, I tried to show a bit more individuality in Go Mi-geol. In ‘The Fool and the Princess’, where she first defeats Jeong-nyeon, I wanted to show Yeong-seo‘s determination to ‘do Jeong-nyeon’s share without regrets’,” he said.

When asked about her similarity with Heo Yeong-seo in the play, Shin Ye-eun answered that she has a ‘perfection-seeking personality, “I realized once again that I want to be perfect, but I can‘t be perfect. While I wanted to be recognized, sometimes I also wanted to break free from that recognition and be free. Even within those limitations, I was able to overcome them and grow through the people around me, which gave me courage,” she said, recalling the moment she received comfort from Yeongseo.

She continued, “While doing ‘Retirement,’ I felt that I no longer have to be afraid. I learned that I can be more courageous and confident in my actions. With the mindset of ‘I have to do it no matter what,’ I said, ‘Okay! Let’s do it!’ My mind has changed,“ she said, expressing her firm determination for the future.
