Fashion magazine Harper‘s Bazaar Korea has released a pictorial of actor and musician Yang Dong-geun. In this pictorial, which captures his free and bold natural self, Yang Dong-geun exudes his signature intense vibe and charisma.
Regarding his experience of joining the second season of the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’, he said, “It was my first time boarding a ship that had been a global hit, so I was cautious because it was a start of 100 rather than 0. I think it’s the first time I‘ve waited this long for a release date since I was in my 20s. With only a month left, I’m enjoying it because I don‘t think I’ll ever feel this kind of happiness in my life.”
When asked about his experience acting as an actor for over 30 years since his debut as a child actor, he said, “I‘m approaching my work with a mindset that I never had in my teens, 20s, or 30s. In my teens and twenties, I mostly played leading roles, but in my thirties, I held on and held on to supporting roles. As an actor who is a father, husband, and head of the household, I had a new mindset as I prioritized my life. I thought, “That’s how my seniors felt when I was young. I tried to figure that out.”
When asked why he has been consistently working in the music industry as a musician ‘YDG’, he said, “If you consider acting as a job, you feel free when you do music. In the past, I had to express myself somehow and only insisted on the music I wanted, but my attitude toward music has changed. I now want to enjoy what I like even if no one recognizes it. He said, “There are a lot of unreleased songs.”
