Stills from the late actor Song Jae-rim‘s last film, ‘Plummet’, have been released.

The film ‘Plummet’ (Director: Hyun Hae-ri│Producer: Muam Co., Ltd.│Distributor: Muam Co., Ltd./Film Rowoon Brothers) is a crime drama based on the true story of the virtual currency crash that shook the world with the loss of 50 trillion won. Through the chronicle of a genius entrepreneur who makes irreversible choices, it depicts the dark side of startup investment and the reality of young people addicted to stocks during the day and coin speculation at night.

The released stills from ‘Plummet’ show the process from 2009 to 2023 of the main character Yang Do-hyun, a self-proclaimed business genius and virtual currency developer named MOMMY, played by the late Song Jae-rim, gradually degenerating in his quest for success.

It raises curiosity about the reality faced by young business owners who abuse youth, women, and disabled bonus points to illegally receive youth startup support funds and then go through intentional insolvency and closure.

In particular, the movie ‘Plummet’ is based on a true story that has produced numerous victims and for which the judiciary has not yet made a final judgment, so it received thorough prior investigation and meticulous review and legal advice based on legal cases. The movie ‘Plummet’ was directed by Hyun Hae-ri, a former PD for current affairs and culture at a broadcasting station who received favorable reviews at the Cannes Drama Festival in France for ‘The Woman Who Only Worked as a Contract Worker 9 Times’, and directed many reportages with social accusation messages. In addition, the late Song Jae-rim, Ahn Woo-yeon, Min Sung-wook, So Hee-jung, and Cha Jung-won appeared, completing the fantastic lineup.
