Actress Nam Bo-ra graced the cover of the January issue of the monthly women‘s magazine ‘Housewife’s Life’, celebrating its 59th anniversary.
Nam Bo-ra, who announced her marriage in May through her YouTube channel ‘Nam Bo-ra‘s Life Theater’, gave a detailed interview with ‘Housewife’s Life’, from meeting her prospective groom to preparing for the wedding.
She said that she felt more at ease after deciding to get married, saying, “I felt comfortable and stable as my worries were sorted out. I‘ve sorted out what I need to focus on and what I don’t need to do now,” and added about what made her decide to get married, “I wanted someone to be my lifelong companion and a strong pillar. On the other hand, when I thought about who I wanted by my side when I was having a hard time, this person came to mind.”
As the eldest daughter in a large family of 13 siblings and the representative ‘K-eldest daughter’ of the Republic of Korea, the meaning of marriage must also be special. Nam Bo-ra said about her family, “My family naturally let me go. Whenever something big or small happened at home, I would always take the lead, but now my younger siblings are learning how to share that role. In a way, it‘s really special.”
She also laughed about her extraordinary cooking skills, saying, “I learned it by watching my mom cook, but maybe it’s because of her cooking skills. I think I‘m naturally talented to some extent, but I still have a long way to go to catch up to my mom.”
She also showed off her “workaholic” side as an actor and a fruit distribution business owner. She said, “It’s important not to make excuses and to just try. Even if you can‘t do something, if you’re sincere and consistent, you‘ll eventually do well.” She added, “I’m honest about my mistakes and errors. I think all of this comes down to loving myself. “Wanting to be a good person is also a way to love myself,” she said, revealing her own know-how for doing a good job.
Nam Bo-ra also mentioned her hopes and goals for 2025, along with the important event of marriage, saying, “I’m thinking about making plans to have children. If my physical strength and health allow, I want to have about four.”
