The band CNBLUE (Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, and Lee Jung-shin) explained why they have been with their agency FNC Entertainment for 14 years.
In an interview to commemorate the release of CNBLUE‘s 10th mini-album [X], Jung Yong-hwa began by saying, “I don’t have time to think about independence. I‘ve been busy working for 15 years. It takes a lot of energy to build a new nest. All the members are workaholics. I tend to gain energy when I work.”
“We’re busy just thinking about music.” (Kang Min-hyuk)
“All three of us are happy when we work, but we don‘t really know how to rest. It seems like our social selves seek out being busy. I like having a schedule every day.” (Lee Jung-shin)
After 14 years of service, he is considered one of the company’s seniors. Then is CNBLUE the right arm or the left arm of FNC? To this question, Jung Yong Hwa answered, “CNBLUE exists because FT Island existed. I‘m in charge of one of them, no matter which arm it is.” Lee Jung Shin then added, “Could he be left-handed by any chance?” and made everyone laugh.
CNBLUE’s 10th mini album [X] is their first full-group new album in 3 years since their 9th mini album ‘WANTED’. The album name [X] contains meanings such as the 10th mini album, 10 times the growth, and an infinite future.
The album contains six tracks, including the title track ‘A Sleepless Night’, ‘BAD BAD’, ‘RACER’, ‘To. My Love’, ‘Personal Color’, and ‘Tonight’. The track ‘SKIT (CD ONLY)’ was added only to the actual album. All the songs were composed by the members.
Among them, the title track ‘A Sleepless Night’, written and composed by Jung Yong-hwa, is a medium-tempo rock genre song with an impressive introduction using a unique whistle sound. It depicts a situation where memories of an ex-lover linger in the mind, and recurring memories and longing still linger.
The album will be released at 6 p.m. on the 14th.
