Actor Im Si-wan shared his thoughts on joining the second season of Netflix‘s highly anticipated series ‘Squid Game’, which will be released in December, through the magazine ‘Singles’.
Korea’s only local magazine ‘Singles’ has released the cover and visual pictorial for its November issue with Im Si-wan. In the pictorial, which was conducted at a ranch in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, Im Si-wan perfectly digested not only a sorrowful and decadent look but also his unique dark and dreamy atmosphere, exuding various charms.
Currently filming the Netflix movie ‘Warts’, Im Si-wan was asked in an interview whether he feels like he is immersed in his role as a killer in the drama and that an intense atmosphere is created by the damp weather and moist expression, to which he replied, “That‘s not necessarily the case. He replied, ”Rather than the typical gloomy and reserved character, I think you’ll be able to see the image of a stylish killer who loves fashion.“

He also said, ”I went to action school before entering the production in order to perform many action scenes in ‘The Wart’. I‘ve also learned boxing and kickboxing since a long time ago,“ revealing his efforts as an actor to digest various characters. Then, about his past interview where he said that ‘exercise addiction’ was the thing he didn’t understand the most, he said, ”I still don‘t understand exercise addiction. However, since management is essential as a visible job, I am looking for an exercise that I find interesting and doing it,” he added honestly.
Having presented various characters with a wide acting spectrum, he revealed that Byung-tae in Coupang Play’s ‘Boys’ Generation’ is the most similar to his real self, saying, “I try to act calm, but I have a secretly mean side. Some days, I seem like a really bright person, and other days, I seem like a serious person. Because of those big emotional fluctuations, I think I’m a weird guy,” he said with a laugh.
He also talked about the much-anticipated second season of ‘Squid Game’ at the end of the year. When asked about the pressure of joining the popular series, he said, “I was really grateful and happy. I thought it would be the greatest compliment I could give as an actor to participate in a work that raised the value and quality of Korean content, so I participated without hesitation. He answered, “I think I felt the burden slowly while filming.”
