Singer and businesswoman Paris Hilton lost her mansion in the massive wildfires in Los Angeles (LA).
Paris Hilton confessed on her Instagram on the night of the 8th (local time) that she watched her mansion on the Malibu coast burn down through a live TV news broadcast.
She said, “I‘m heartbroken beyond words. We’ve lost a place where our family had so many precious memories”, and “I feel a great sense of loss, but I‘m grateful that my family and pets are safe. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by these fires”.
Paris Hilton announced that she would contact non-profit organizations through the ‘11:11’ media impact team she founded and provide support for the affected residents. He also expressed his gratitude to the firefighters and rescue workers.
Paris Hilton purchased the mansion in June 2021 for about $8.4 million (KRW 12.22788 billion). His family lives in Beverly Hills, and the mansion is known to be a vacation home, not a residential one.
Meanwhile, the wildfire, which is expected to cause astronomical damage, broke out in Pacific Palisades, a coastal area of Los Angeles, California, USA, on the 7th. The wildfire, which was first reported at around 10:30 a.m. that day, burned an area of about 112㎢, more than 38 times the size of Yeouido in Seoul (about 2.9㎢). The California fire department has deployed at least 7,500 personnel, but is having difficulties because the wildfire is spreading much faster than it is being put out.
