‘The Lighting Store’ Kim Sun-hwa talked about working with actress Kim Min-ha.

Actress Kim Sun-hwa, who appeared in the Disney+ series ‘The Lighting Store’, recently met with Donga.com for an interview and talked about the work.

On this day, Kim Sun-hwa said about actress Kim Min-ha, who she worked with through ‘The Lighting Store’, “‘Pachinko’, “I trusted her because she acted so well. That‘s why I was excited,” and added, “She’s young, but she acted confidently.”

She then said, “There was a program where (Kim Min-ha) traveled. When I saw that, I wanted to imagine the story with her, and I wanted to feel her before meeting her, so for the first time in my life, I traveled alone (to the places Kim Min-ha traveled). I imagined things while looking at the same place.”

Kim Sun-hwa added, “I thought that way, we would have something to talk about when we met. We met before filming and talked about each other to get to know each other. That’s how I started preparing to love Sun-hye.”

Regarding the love between Sun-hye and Hye-won in “Lighting Store,” Kim Sun-hwa said, “Why did I love Sun-hye and why did I want to sacrifice to save her? This friend must have had the image of youth that I ideally think of. I think affection will differ depending on who finds that, but Hye-won saw his talent and loved him because of that. Being queer wasn’t important in human-to-human love.”

Kim Sun-hwa said, “Actor Kim Min-ha’s strength is that he is confident and knows what he likes. He is a truly good actor who explores and is also a good person. So I think I imagined Seon-hye as she was. I didn‘t worry at all because she was queer. But I also recalled that it was so fun and enjoyable.“

Meanwhile, ‘The Lighting Store’, which was first released on the 4th, tells the story of what happens when customers with suspicious secrets visit ‘The Lighting Store’, the only place that lights up a dark alley. It released four episodes on the 4th, and two episodes were released every week for the next two weeks, making a total of eight episodes.

It is the fifth work in writer Kang Full’s ‘Mystery Psychological Slurp’ series and is based on the webtoon of the same name ‘The Lighting Store’, which has surpassed 150 million cumulative views.

Kim Sun-hwa plays the character ‘Hye-won’, who wanders a dark alley on a rainy night wearing red shoes, leaving the most impactful presence in the drama.
