The horror drama ‘Gwijeop (鬼接)’ produced by JTBC will be released on the official site on the 30th.

‘Gwijeop (鬼接)’ is a horror drama that deals with ‘evil spirits’, spiritual beings that harm humans regardless of belief or disbelief, and ‘shamans’, who coexist with humans on the other side of evil spirits. It tells the story of a ghost that suddenly appears in the bedroom of a newlywed couple one day and drives them to madness, and a shaman who investigates the cause.


The production of ‘Gwijeop (鬼接)’ utilized 3D conversion technology developed by the Korea Communications Commission‘s AI-based production environment verification project. This made it possible to produce high-quality S3D (stereoscopic, a type of three-dimensional image technology) images while drastically lowering the production cost, realistically implementing the fear and mystery of a possessed shaman and the images of people witnessing strange phenomena.

In addition, the ATSC3.0 (Advanced Television Systems Committee, next-generation digital broadcasting standard)-based user-selectable three-dimensional media streaming service system, the first of its kind in the world, was built by ETRI Busan Joint Research Lab to provide 3D content as OTT.

‘Gwijeop (鬼接)’ will be available on the site from the 30th.
